The traditional Easter egg hunt is great for most kids. A mad dash to eggs, with the fastest kids absolutely filling their baskets with goodies. But over the years, we’ve noticed that for some kids, such as those with a shy temperament or those with physical or developmental disabilities, the experience isn’t nearly as great. Plus, your traditional egg hunt involves parents standing in the sun to wait for the event to begin, impatient kids chomping at the bit for the hunt to start, and it seems there is always at least one or two children that get knocked over or bump heads in the frenzy.
We wanted to create an experience that would be great for ALL of our guests, which is why we are doing something a little different. The Bunny Bash will be a Saturday morning event in March where kids can hop along our Bunny Trail to collect eggs from a variety of stations scattered around our campus. Upon arrival to the event, participants will receive an event brochure that includes a Bunny Trail map, directing them to the locations of the Bunny Trail stops. At each location, children will receive candy and toy filled eggs to put in their basket. But the fun doesn’t stop there! Participants of all ages can enjoy the event attractions, such as a rock climbing tower, slide, petting zoo, inflatables, face painting, and craft area. Food trucks will be on site selling delicious carnival treats. And the Easter Bunny will be on hand for photos.
The entire event and attractions will be offered free to our community.
Last year’s Bunny Bash saw approximately 1500 visitors. We anticipate approximately 1500-2000 visitors for this event.
Community outreach events, like The Bunny Bash and our Winter Wonderland event, are an essential part of the Centerpoint DNA. We want our community to know we are for them and that we are in their corner. And as we build these relationships with our neighbors, we want to partner with local businesses and entrepreneurs and forge a network of support within our Valrico and Brandon-area community. Sponsorships must be completed by March 4 to receive all included acknowledgements and benefits. We would appreciate your sponsorship or donation at any point--but beyond the March 4 date, print acknowledgements will be limited due to print ordering cutoffs. Thank you for your understanding.
